Nature & surroundings – Achterbos
The Tulip is located in the unique and nature-rich area of Achterbos, the most peaceful and unspoiled part of the Vinkeveense Plassen. Instead of open lakes, this area is characterized by the typical peat cuttings: narrow waterways interspersed with strips of land and reed beds.
This special landscape creates an intimate and sheltered water world where nature and tranquility take center stage. You can explore narrow passages, reed-lined shores, and green surroundings, far away from the crowds.
At the same time, Achterbos is directly connected to the larger Vinkeveense Plassen, where you have plenty of space for boating, swimming, and enjoying restaurants and facilities along the water. This way, you experience the best of both worlds: peace and liveliness.
Renting a motorboat is a great option for a day trip to explore the area from the water. Boats are available nearby from €75 per day. Of course, this is completely optional – you can also fully enjoy the peace and nature without a boat.
The Tulip is situated on a narrow strip of land between The Rose and Chalet de Lelie and features a spacious, fully enclosed private garden of no less than 400 m². This ensures maximum privacy in the middle of nature.
Here, you wake up to the sound of birds and gently moving water. Achterbos is the perfect place for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet who want to experience the authentic side of Vinkeveen.
